Sanitary joints
Choose a sanitary sealant for suitable joints around showers, basins, sinks, counters, tiles and plumbing fixtures.
Selection context
Bathroom and kitchen joints combine moisture, cleaning, temperature changes and movement between unlike materials. The right starting point is usually a sanitary silicone, but the label alone does not confirm every substrate or detail.
Pereseal AF is the range’s neutral-cure, anti-fungal sanitary silicone. Its archived TDS describes applications around tubs, shower screens, sinks, toilets, tiles and plumbing fixtures. Treat that as selection evidence, then verify the current document, colour, packaging and precise compatibility before use.
Anti-fungal protection helps inhibit growth on the cured sealant. It cannot correct standing water, poor ventilation, soap residue, contamination behind the joint or failed adhesion. Joint condition and routine maintenance still matter.

Tile-to-glass, ceramic-to-metal and plastic-to-tile joints can have different compatibility needs. Check both sides of the joint.
A split, detached or deeply contaminated bead normally needs removal and replacement rather than another layer on top.
Plan around the product-specific cure instructions. A skinned surface is not necessarily fully cured or ready for water.
