About Pereseal 802 High Performance Silicone Sealant
Pereseal 802 is a one-part acetoxy silicone for glazing and sealing glass and metal. It skins in about 15 minutes, cures 10 mm deep in 7 days and stretches to around 400%.
It's certified to ASTM C920 Class 25, so a correctly sized joint takes ±25% movement. Glaziers use it for top-sealing windows, curtain-wall glass and channels. Fabricators use it on sheet metal, skylights, air-con components and aquarium glass.
Like any acetoxy silicone it smells of vinegar while it cures. That acid is also why it stays off natural stone and metals it can corrode. Use Pereseal N there.

Standards and tests
- ASTM C920, Class 25: ±25% movement
- Tested by TÜV SÜD PSB (2014) to the ASTM C920:2008 test methods: no staining (ASTM C510), no sag (ASTM C639), no bond failure under cyclic movement (ASTM C719), no cracking after accelerated weathering (ASTM C793)
Good to know
- Acetic-acid cure can corrode susceptible metals
- Not for marble, quartzite or other natural stone
- Not for structural glazing
- Not for traffic areas or joints subject to abrasion
- Joints from 3 mm × 3 mm up to 30 mm wide; tool within 5 minutes
