What this product is designed to do.
Pereseal FR is a fire-rated, intumescent acrylic sealant for passive-fire applications. It cures to form a firm yet flexible seal joining suitable construction materials.
When exposed to heat, the material chars and expands to resist the passage of heat, smoke and fire through the joint. Fire performance applies only to the tested system, substrates, dimensions and installation conditions in the supporting evidence.

The standards and test references associated with this product are listed below. For specifications and regulated work, confirm that the referenced document and tested configuration apply to your project.
Fire resistance tested by Bodycote Warringtonfire to BS 476 Part 20:1987, with ratings up to four hours for covered systems.
TÜV SÜD PSB Certificate of Conformity to Class 1A.

Selection and limitations
Fire performance depends on the complete tested system. Match the construction, orientation, substrates, opening, backing, seal depth, joint width and required rating to the applicable report.
Published joint-width guidance differs: one Pereseal source states 25 mm, while the April 2019 TDS states up to 50 mm. Use only the dimension covered by the applicable tested system and written technical confirmation.
Any change to the tested configuration can invalidate the stated fire performance.
