Paintability changes the shortlist

For suitable low- or moderate-movement interior gaps that will be painted, an acrylic sealant is often the practical starting point. It is not a universal repair material: active cracks, damp substrates and structural movement need the cause addressed.

Pereseal 702 or Pereseal PC?

Pereseal 702 is documented as a broader architectural acrylic for frames, ducting, wall cracks and other suitable building gaps. Pereseal PC is positioned specifically as painters’ caulk for filling and sealing before decoration. Use the current TDS to confirm exposure, movement, preparation and drying.

Repair the cause, not only the line

A recurring crack can indicate continuing movement, a weak edge or moisture. Repeatedly covering it without diagnosis may produce the same failure under a new coat of paint.
